The EPIC order is called \u2018Consult to Interstitial Lung Disease<\/strong>\u2019 (I will see if \u2018pulmonary\u2019 can be added to make this easier to find).<\/p>\n

The order includes text with the devoted pager number (0694).\u00a0 The pager number will also be included at the end of all of the ILD inpatient notes.<\/p>\n

If there is any confusion, the general consult and ILD fellow will help sort out, with the ILD staff, the appropriate service to see the patient.<\/p>\n

This really does not create any additional coverage for anyone \u2013 just makes it easier to find some ILD help.<\/p>\n

What inpatient staff?\u00a0 Isn\u2019t there just Thavarajah?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Yes, while Jennings will continue to see ILD patients in clinic, to continue to devote enough time to research efforts for the fellows, he will not be staffing inpatient ILD consults. \u00a0 Dr. Abu Sayf joins the team in summer 2018.<\/p>\n

If the patient is on F2 or MICU, staff or fellow can call me directly to review any urgent cases on weekends or overnight (I would encourage that the residents discuss these with the ICU fellow or F2 staff before involving me on a patient new to ILD service).<\/p>\n

Who covers the pager? <\/strong><\/p>\n

ILD Fellow and staff will take care of all forwarding.<\/p>\n

Weekdays \u2013 ILD fellow\/staff<\/p>\n

During fellow clinic \u2013 ILD staff<\/p>\n

Weeknights \u2013 ILD staff<\/p>\n

Weekends \u2013 F2\/consult staff \u00a0(who can call me with any questions, this is not a change from prior).<\/p>\n

What about clinic calls overnight?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Good question \u2013 for now it will be the F2 staff.<\/p>\n

Who covers when Thavarajah is away?<\/strong><\/p>\n
