Here is a recent update on the attestation for staff. Currently MS3 notes are not billable and MS4 notes can be billed. Given the change in schedule best to ask what year the student is as there can be a mix of MS3s and 4s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Note TYPE:\u00a0“Medical\/APP\u00a0Student\u00a0Note<\/strong>” <\/li>
  • Currently\u00a0not billab<\/span><\/strong>l<\/strong><\/span>e<\/span> <\/strong> <\/li>
  • Staff attestation: .medicalstudenteducationalnote<\/strong>. <\/li>
  • Residents and Staff should review with student<\/li><\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

    MS4 inpatient\u00a0notes\u00a0(Sub-Interns, MICU):<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Note TYPE: “Progress note”, “Consult note” or “H&P” <\/li>
    • Notes\u00a0are billable<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>for the following services:\u00a0<\/strong>GPU sub-I (including F2), MICU, Pulmonary Consults. <\/li>
    • A\u00a0resident\/fellow must be present with the\u00a0student\u00a0during their examination of the patient<\/strong>.\u00a0 The last line of the student template includes a spot for the\u00a0student\u00a0to document the name of the resident.<\/li>
    • Staff attestation: .medstudentbillablenote<\/strong>. <\/li>
