More to follow.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 MICU Visiting Hour Pilot<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Targetting start date on Nov 1<sup>st<\/sup>.<\/li>\n<li>Patient Support Advocate (PSA) will be identified who can be present 24\/7.\u00a0 More specifics\/education to follow.<\/li>\n<li>Interviewing for attendants to manage waiting room and assignment of PSAs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Quality Rounds<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Feedback \u2013 concerns about timeliness of start, inefficiency of walk rounds<\/li>\n<li>Will move AM Quality Rounds to Huddle Board.\u00a0 Change will start on Monday 10\/6.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 ICU Classroom update<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>New wall LCD monitor ordered to replace projector.<\/li>\n<li>Room update will occur as well \u2013 new tables, chairs, painting, and furniture so that room can be multi purpose for family meetings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Census\/Triage Update<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Please review on hfhpulm.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/hfhpulm.com\/info\/2014\/09\/micu-triage-contingency-plan-resource-faculty-triage-fellows-micu-charge-nurses-3142014\/\">http:\/\/hfhpulm.com\/info\/2014\/09\/micu-triage-contingency-plan-resource-faculty-triage-fellows-micu-charge-nurses-3142014\/<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ultrasound Machine Update<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>New machines ordered from Sonosite\n<ul>\n<li>Three upright vascular (assigned to Pods 1, 2, and 4)<\/li>\n<li>Two multipurpose machines (Exporte) with integrated educational modules (Pod 5, and 4<sup>th<\/sup> floor on call from charge nurse).\n<ul>\n<li>The Exporte on the 4<sup>th<\/sup> floor is to be used by staff\/fellows.\u00a0 Residents will not be able to check out unless supervised by fellow or staff.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Respiratory Therapy<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Trial of Hamilton Ventilators occurring on Pods 5 and 6W<\/li>\n<li>Start: this week; complete at end of October<\/li>\n<li>Education TBA<\/li>\n<li>Intubation bronchoscopes. More to follow.
