When seeing sarcoid patients for the first time, get both a 25 and a 1,25 dihydropxy Vit D level, even if they don’t have hypercalcemia. This can help with diagnostic purposes and shows a bit of granulomatous burden.
For established patients, get s 1,25 vit D level if there is hypercalcemia (as well as the standar hypercalcemia w/u).
