MSU Clinical Clerkships

College of Human Medicine (CHM) would like to explicitly thank you for precepting and teaching our future physicians with this Clinical educator Letter. The past few years have presented challenges to each of us in both our personal and professional lives.  Your efforts during these unprecedented times have been essential in keeping medical students’ education progressing forward, so they may enter residencies prepared and ready to care for patients.
Entering Late Clinical Experience (LCE) students have already had both inpatient and outpatient clinical activities with the intention for them to be able to jump right into the clerkships. CHM has been proactive and purposeful in ensuring that the student’s Early and Middle Clinical Experiences continued in spite of the impact from the pandemic. Still, there may be circumstances where students need a little more support and confidence building, especially in the initial clerkships. Thank you for helping this transition.
Please take a moment to read your department's IM Clerkship Handbook for the 2022-23 academic year.  There is also an additional documents outlining a few educational highlights and benefits offered to CHM faculty members. These additional documents are in process of being updated and will be sent to you soon.
Here are some additional College of Human Medicine Faculty resources.
Lastly, if now or in the future, you know of any colleagues who would be great additions to our volunteer faculty team, please contact your local campus leadership
