2 dot phrases that might be of value for patients with COVID-19.

1.  MHLCOVIDLABTABLE

This incorporates the inflammatory markers that Jen has indicated on the management documents such that you can trend them over time.

The trend is for 3 days.  If you think that more days would be helpful, let me know

2.  MHLVENTILATORNOTE

This is a note to use when we are “vent rounding” on patients in the SICU/CVICU, etc.

It can be utilized for a progress note, but I have entered the information for a critical care note at the top.  This critical care note information can be deleted if you are not planning to bill for a critical care note

How to copy a dot phrase and make it one of your own

1. Open epic
2. Under your “Customization Tools” click “My Smart Phrases”
3. On the far left click “Manage Phrases”
4. Under user, type “Lazar, Michael” or another provider
5.  Open any one of my phrases that you wish to copy
6. Copy all of the contents from the phrase
7.  On the far left click, click on “My phrases”
8. Click “New”
9.  Paste the contents into this phrase, name it as your would like and save it.
10. Please remember to remove a my signature from the bottom of the note
