The sub-interns can write notes that are billable. In order to sign a student note a senior resident (or staff ) has to be present in the room with the student at the time of their evaluation and the student has to document that at the bottom of the note with the phrase
“Dr. [Senior Resident] was physically present at the time of evaluation
The senior staff will attest the note with the dot phrase .medstudentbillablenote
That is the Epic dot phrase.
