If your patient needs a bronchoscopy for Airway Inspection, BAL, or Transplant surveillance biopsies. Please order this as “Bronchoscopy – Pulmonary Medicine” (NOTED BY RED ARROW IN IMAGE BELOW)
This will be scheduled by our CSR without a review by a physician. If procedure type is incorrectly requested, the patient may experience a delay in the procedure.
If your patient needs a bronchoscopy with any biopsies. Please order this as “Bronchoscopy Interventional – Pulmonary” (NOTED BY GREED ARROW IN IMAGE BELOW)
This will trigger an IP physician to review the case and decide on the appropriate approach and modality (i.e. radial EBUS, linear EBUS, Robotic Guided, Forceps, Fine Needle Aspiration, etc…) If there is any question as to how something should be ordered or if it’s a tangible approach, please do not hesitate to contact our coordinators to have the oncall staff review a case, or email me directly. I am always happy to review cases
