Eligibility criteria for LCS referral program has been updated and includes the following:
- The patient is between the ages of 50 – 77 years old
- Has at least a 20+ pack year smoking history
- Is a current smoker or
- Is a former smoker who has quit within the last 15 years
- Has not had a CT of the chest within the last year (12 months/366 days)
- The patient is asymptomatic of lung cancer
- Significant chest pain
- Unintended weight loss
- Hemoptysis
- Active pneumonia
- Has not been diagnosed with lung cancer in the last 5 years
